GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is an abbreviation for Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, which brings the uniformity of the principles and rules of personal data protection throughout the entire EU. The GDPR has been valid since May 2016 and in force since 25 May 2018.
